THIS blog is dedicated to the good people of the Philippines & also current Filipino news. God bless our brothers & sisters in Christ in the islands of the Philippines !

Super Typhoon Fung-Wong made landfall in the northern Philippines on Sunday, killing at least 25 people and displacing an estimated 1.4 million.
Fung-wong (known locally as Uwan) was the second typhoon to strike the nation this month. Last week, Typhoon Kalmaegi killed more than 220 people in the central Philippines. "

"Prayer for the Philippines
After the Storm"
"He maketh the storm a calm,
so that the waves thereof are still." — -Psalm 107:29
O Lord of mercy, hear our cry,
As winds roar fierce and waters fly.
The islands tremble, hearts in fear,
Yet Jesus, Savior, still is near.
The storm may rage, the trees may bend,
But You, O God, our souls defend.
For though the tempests tear apart,
Your peace still reigns in every heart.
Lift up the hands of those who weep,
Restore the fields the floods did sweep.
Let hope arise from broken ground,
Where once was loss, let grace abound.
Teach every heart to trust Your plan,
To see the cross — the hope of man.
May faith take root in every shore,
And prayer ignite like never before.
Let every child, each weary soul,
Find refuge where Your mercies roll.
May churches shine through darkened skies,
And gospel light in hearts arise.
O Philippines, beloved land,
The Savior holds you in His hand.
He calms the sea, He stills the tide,
In Christ alone, we will abide.
So after storm and tear and pain,
May harvest bloom from all the rain.
And when the rainbow crowns the blue,
We'll thank the Lord who carried you.
Amen.

"Panalangin Para sa Pilipinas Pagkatapos ng Bagyo"
"At Kaniyang pinatatahimik ang bagyo, at tumitigil ang mga alon." — Awit 107:29
O Panginoon, aming Ama,
Sa unos Kami'y umaasa.
Ang hanging galit, ulan na baha,
Di hihigit sa Iyong gawa.
Bagyong dumaan, puso'y sugatan,
Ngunit sa Iyo may kapayapaan.
Sa gitna ng dilim at ulan,
Liwanag Mo ang gabay namin.
Pagpalain Mo ang aming bayan,
Itaas Mo kami sa kasiraan.
Palakasin ang pananampalataya,
At sa panalangin, kami'y laging madaya.
Ituro sa amin ang Iyong daan,
Kay Kristo lamang may kaligtasan.
Ang Ebanghelyo'y ipalaganap,
Hanggang sa puso'y lubos na yakap.
Ang bawat tahanan, Iyong daluyan,
Ng pag-ibig Mong walang hanggan.
Pagkatapos ng luha at unos,
May bagong buhay na maringal at busog.
Pilipinas, lupang minamahal,
Hawak ka Niya sa Kanyang dangal.
Si Hesus ang iyong kanlungan,
Sa bawat dusa at kasalanan.
At sa pag-tila ng malakas na ulan,
Awitin natin ang papuri't pasasalamat.
Pag-asa'y sumikat, pananampalataya'y buo,
Kay Kristo Jesus, tayo'y ligtas at totoo.
Amen.
